The story behind this event:

Danica Weeks lost her husband and soul mate, Paul Weeks, in the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 disaster. I had the pleasure of first meeting Paul and Danica about 13 years ago while travelling through Europe. Paul was one of the most fun loving larrikins you could ever wish to meet. Not only has he been a great friend to many, he is also an amazing husband and the loving father of their two little boys, Lincoln and Jack.

Nothing could prepare you for the shock and heartbreak of losing a loved one in such tragic and sudden circumstances. It's unimaginable what Danica and the boys are going through. I have a daughter myself who is of a similar age to Lincoln and I can't even imagine having to tell her that her daddy is missing... just gone.

Hearing this story, my friend Pete Wilson Tim Wyers decided to do what they could to help this family. They will be competing in the brutal Molokai 2 Oahu paddle board race in Hawaii on 27 July 2014. With only 75 competitors, this race is the pinnacle of the stand-up paddling world and one of the hardest things they will ever do. This year, Pete & Tim will be racing for Lincoln and Jack Weeks.

Together we are trying to raise as much money as we can to ease the financial burden on Danica now that she is raising Lincoln and jack on her own.

Come and join us for a great night and help make a difference.
